INSTRUCTOR Karate-Do Shotokai
Kyle Brunner became a student of Shotokai Karate in 2003. Because of his love for the practice, he decided to share his knowledge as an instructor. Currently he is a 2nd Dan instructor and a member of the Technical Committee of American Karate-Do Shotokai.
Students appreciate his positive and encouraging teaching style. His instruction is fun and engaging and emphasizes the principles of Karate. Kyle focuses on practical self-defense and knowledge of body movements and functions which increase physical ability and efficiency.
When he is not teaching, he is a research engineer at Sasol, a gardener, and at-home chef. He also enjoys spending time with his family, camping, and volunteering with his church.
American Karate-Do Shotokai (AKDS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the philosophies of GichinFunakoshi, as practiced by Mitsusuke Harada Sensei. All AKDS instructors and officers are unpaid volunteers devoted to their practice.
